Our Acceptable Use Policy details prohibited conduct that all leadership, management, board and committee members, staff, employees, volunteers, visitors, users, partners, members of associated communities, third parties, and any other agents of The Ikoku Group agree not to engage in within, on behalf of, in reference to or more generally pertaining to The Ikoku Group.

We expect all people to behave responsibly, respectfully, and lawfully where our Group and its divisions, series, subsidiaries, and affiliates, as well as Sites, Products and Services are concerned. Therefore, you agree not to misuse or harm any part of The Ikoku Group, including our names and reputations, or help anyone else to do so, in ways that include but are not limited to the following:

1. Approved Nature of Relationship

1.1. You will not understand or represent yourself to be in any official capacity with or relationship to The Ikoku Group except such official capacity or relationship that is explicitly described by written contract and instrument signed and sealed of Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, with such instrument containing explicit description of the restricted access, activity and operations reviewed, approved and authorized for the purposes of said capacity or relationship;

1.2. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

2. Approved Access and Activity

2.1. You will not understand or represent yourself to be in any official capacity with or relationship to The Ikoku Group except such official capacity or relationship that is explicitly described by written contract and instrument signed and sealed of Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, with such instrument containing explicit description of the restricted access, activity and operations reviewed, approved and authorized for the purposes of said capacity or relationship;

2.2. You will not attempt or operate with any access to any part of The Ikoku Group except that delineated in the above authorization;

2.3. You will not attempt or engage in any activity or operations within, on behalf of, in reference to, or more generally pertaining to The Ikoku Group except that delineated in the above authorization;

2.4. In your capacity as a visitor of The Ikoku Group or any of our Sites, Products or Services, you will not access, browse, or visit any parts of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products, or Services except those The Ikoku Group has explicitly made accessible without any login requirement, personal identification requirement, or other security measures, including those added, installed or placed to limit access or ensure and improve safety and security;

2.5. In your capacity as a user in The Ikoku Group or any of our Sites, Products or Services, you will not access, browse, visit or use any parts of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products, or Services except those The Ikoku Group has explicitly made accessible and usable to you via your login information, your personal identification information, and any other security measures pertaining to you, including those added, installed or placed to limit access or ensure and improve safety and security;

2.6. You will not attempt, operate with or engage in any access, activity or operation that assumes, implies or suggests that the personal or private thoughts, personal or private dialogue or conversations, or personal or private examination or inquiry of an individual is accessible to, part of, or the property of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services;

2.7. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

3. Proper Written Authorization

3.1. You will not engage in or enter into any activity, operations or arrangement within, on behalf of, in reference to, or more generally pertaining to The Ikoku Group without express review, approval and authorization, explicitly for that activity, operation or arrangement, by written instrument signed and sealed of Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, sole Founder and Original Member of The Ikoku Group;

3.2. You will not take any activity or operations within or without, on behalf of, in reference to, or more generally pertaining to The Ikoku Group, especially any activity or operations by Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, as indication of donor, funding or resource allocation preference, authorized dedication or transfer of charitable or non-charitable funds or resources, or permission for any specific activity or operation on the part of The Ikoku Group or its leadership, without the express authorization indicated above;

3.3. You will not falsely or misleadingly impersonate any founder, board or committee member, leadership, management, staff, employee, partner, volunteer, visitor, user or any other agent of The Ikoku Group, especially Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, in any activity or operation, or misleadingly present permission for any activity or operation as authorized or granted by any of the aforementioned;

3.4. You will not engage in or enter into any activity or arrangement that claims, suggests, infers, or assumes The Ikoku Group, or any of our Sites, Products or Services to be part of, or in partnership with, another entity, organization, or group of peoples, without express written and signed description and authorization of the specified activity or arrangement by Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, the sole Founder and Original Member;

3.5. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

4. Abuse, Hacking and Disruption of Services

4.1. You will not probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network.

4.2. You will not breach, hack or otherwise bypass any security or authentication measures;

4.3. You will not access, tamper with, or use nonpublic areas or parts of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services, or shared areas of The Ikoku Group, Sites, Products, or Services you have not been given written authorized access to as described above;

4.4. You will not interfere with or disrupt any user, host, or network (whether it belongs to The Ikoku Group or another entity) by, for example, distributing malware or overloading, flooding, or mail-bombing any part of The Group or our Sites, Products, or Services;

4.5. You will not take apart, decompile, or reverse engineer any part of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services, including during efforts to access parts such as source code or algorithms, except in cases of an official capacity and relationship contract authorized via written instrument as described above and elsewhere in these Codes and Policies;

4.6. You will not access, search, or create accounts for The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products, or Services by any means (e.g. scraping, spidering, or crawling) other than via the approved means and interfaces for visitors and users as described above, except in cases of an official capacity and relationship contract authorized via written instrument as described above and elsewhere in these Codes and Policies;

4.7. You will not take any action that imposes an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or our third party providers (and we reserve the right to determine what is reasonable);

4.8. You will not provide your password to any other person, use any other person’s username and password, or otherwise access, manage or use any part of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products, or Services through shared credentials;

4.9. You will not do anything that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper working or appearance of any of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services in any manner, such as a denial of service attack, scripting the creation of content in such a manner as to produce negative effects, or other interference with page rendering and any functionality, except in cases of an official capacity and relationship contract authorized via written instrument as described above and elsewhere in these Codes and Policies;

4.10. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

5. Spamming and Phishing of Services

5.1. You will not send spam or other unsolicited communications, promotions, or advertisements (and we reserve the right to determine what constitutes spam);

5.2. You will not send altered, deceptive or false source-identifying information, including without limitation phishing or spoofing;

5.3. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

6. Deception and Impersonation of Others

6.1. You will not do anything that’s false, fraudulent, inaccurate or deceiving;

6.2. You will not impersonate another person, company, or entity;

6.3. You will not engage in misleading or unethical marketing or advertising;

6.4. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

7. Theft

7.1. You will not engage in any activity that constitutes theft of identity or property, including but not limited to using unauthorized credit cards, debit cards, or other unauthorized payment devices within The Ikoku Group or on our Sites, Products or Services;

7.2. You will not promote or advertise products or services other than those of which you are the sole verifiable owner, except with the appropriate and explicit authorization and consent of the other person or entity;

7.3. You will not auction, bet, bond, borrow, donate, gamble, give away, lien, loan, mortgage, rent, sell or otherwise place into a financial arrangement or transaction any aspect or part of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services, except when you are both the sole verifiable owner of said aspect or part (or Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, the sole Founder and Original Member) and prior to the financial activity, arrangement or transaction have been given express written authorization as described above;

7.4. You will not disseminate, publish or use any aspect or part of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services on any network or system other than those provided by The Ikoku Group, except when you are both the sole verifiable owner of said aspect or part (or Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, the sole Founder and Original Member) and prior to the dissemination, publication or use activity have been given express written authorization as described above;

7.5. You will not copy, duplicate or reproduce any aspect or part of The Ikoku Group or our Sites, Products or Services, except when you are both the sole verifiable owner of said aspect or part (or Alvan Azinna Chibuzo Ikoku, the sole Founder and Original Member) and prior to the dissemination, publication or use activity have been given express written authorization as described above;

7.6. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

8. Infringement, Misappropriation, and Violation of Rights

8.1. You will not do anything as part of, on behalf of, within, in reference to, or more generally pertaining to The Ikoku Group that infringes or violates another person’s rights or otherwise violates the law;

8.2. You will not infringe or violate anyone’s confidentiality, privacy or publicity rights as described by law and elsewhere in these Codes and Policies;

8.3.  You will not place in any part of The Ikoku Group or on any part of our Sites, Products or Services any person’s identification documents or sensitive financial, health or private information, except with both that person’s written consent and an official capacity and relationship contract authorized via written instrument as described above and elsewhere in these Codes and Policies;

8.4. You will not infringe, misappropriate, or violate anyone’s copyright, trademark or other intellectual property rights;

8.5. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

9. Harassment and Discrimination

9.1. You will not engage in any activity that constitutes discrimination or harassment as described elsewhere in these Codes and Policies, including but not limited to hate speech, explicit and intentional inciting or threat of violence, extortion or revenge pornography or nudity, and violations of confidentiality, due process rights or privacy;

9.2. You will not explicitly advocate bigotry or hatred against any person or group based on real or perceived characteristics or status delineated elsewhere in and protected by these Codes and Policies;

9.3. You will not bully, intimidate, blacklist, blackmail, or extort another person;

9.4. You will not stalk or target another person;

9.5. You will not engage in any activity against a person that constitutes retaliation for being subject to, resisting or reporting discrimination or harassment;

9.6. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

10. Nudity and Pornography

10.1. You will not engage in any activity or opérations, or add or post any content, information or material in or on behalf of The Ikoku Group or on our Sites, Products or Services, including any networks or systems we provide access to, that constitutes nudity or pornography (and we reserve the right to determine what constitutes nudity and pornography);

10.2.You will not engage in any activity or opérations, or add or post any content, information or material in or on behalf of The Ikoku Group or on our Sites, Products or Services, including any networks or systems we provide access to, that advocates, constitutes or facilitates sex or human trafficking or forced, indentured or slave labor;

10.3. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

11. Violation of Laws

11.1. You will not use The Ikoku Group or any part of our Sites, Products or Services in violation of any applicable export controls, laws, regulations, or sanctions;

11.2. You will not do anything that otherwise violates any applicable law or regulations, including without limitation any applicable laws and regulations regarding online conduct and acceptable content;

11.3. You will notify The Ikoku Group via the proper reporting channels if you become aware of any violation of the above.

12. Questions and Reporting

12.1. Your questions regarding our Codes and Policies will help tremendously in our efforts to make The Ikoku Group and its divisions, series, subsidiaries, partners and affiliates, and sites, goods, products and services active, collaborative, safe and secure places and tools for doing our work.

12.2. And the reporting of any violations of these Codes and Policies will also help tremendously in our efforts to make The Ikoku Group and its divisions, series, subsidiaries, partners and affiliates, and sites, goods, products and services active, collaborative, safe and secure places and tools for doing our work. The Duty to Report is also one of the principles of our Founding and Governing Code of Ethics.

*Note: No person or entity may become or remain qualified as manager, executive, board or committee member, employee, educator, researcher, representative, reporter, sponsor, supervisor, trainer, voting or decision-making member or stakeholder, or other agent of The Ikoku Group (including its divisions, series, subsidiaries, affiliates, or partners) if in intentional violation of these the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics and its Associated Policies. Due to this stipulation, under no circumstances shall the following qualify: Eleanor Marie Brown (of Jamaica and the United States, Brown University, University of Oxford and Yale Law School) and any affiliates, agents, associates, employees, employers, and partners of said person; Stanford University and any affiliates, agents, associates, employees, employers, and partners of Stanford University; any person or entity who has similarly violated Ikoku Group ethics of confidentiality, privacy, security, and unconsented monitoring, supervision or surveillance; — as well as, additionally, for ethics policies reasons — any government entity, official or employee and any appointed, elected or hired government official, employee, representative, or agent who has held such office or position within the preceding five (5) years.
