Human Subjects Research and Investigation
Overview
The Ikoku Group is committed to the most beneficial, humane and respectful modes of research and investigation involving human subjects.
Therefore, persons engaged in activity within, for, on behalf of, in reference to, and otherwise pertaining to The Ikoku Group are expected to uphold the following:
Consent as Always Necessary
— that The Ikoku Group require and ensure the most informed consent and informing consent processes are obtained and maintained before, during and after research and investigation involving human subjects — including, with no exception, for any and all such research and investigative activities, communications, interactions, interventions, operations, studies and other research-related actions, uses and purposes.
Confidentiality as Protected
— that The Ikoku Group require and ensure the confidentiality of each human subject is protected before, during and after the conduct of research and investigative activities, interactions, interventions, studies and other research actions and purposes, especially when involving confidential, personal, private and sensitive biospecimens, data, and information.
Privacy as Protected
— that The Ikoku Group require and ensure the most respectful understandings of privacy of each human subject is protected before, during and after the conduct of research and investigative activities, interactions, interventions, studies and other research actions and purposes, especially when involving confidential, personal, private and sensitive biospecimens, data, and information.
Care and Safety as Primary
— that The Ikoku Group require and ensure the care and safety of each human subject are primary and protected before, during and after the conduct of research and investigative activities, interactions, interventions, studies and other research actions and purposes, especially when involving confidential, personal, private and sensitive biospecimens, data, and information.
Processing as Only Necessary
— that, with the above taking precedence and guaranteed, The Ikoku Group also require and ensure the limitation of processing of confidential, personal, private and sensitive biospecimens, data, and information to what is strictly necessary for the research and investigative activities, communications, interactions, interventions, operations, studies and other actions, uses and purposes consented to by the owner of the confidential, personal, private and sensitive biospecimens, data, and information.
Human Subjects Research Regulations
— that The Ikoku Group obtain, keep current and comply with required human subjects research and investigation guidelines, law, and regulation, including those concerning confidentiality, privacy and safety, as they pertain to applicable local, state, national and international jurisdictions.
Accordance with Ethics
— that The Ikoku Group ensure following any and all of the above principles further remains in accordance with the Codes and Policies and especially the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics.
Accordance with Mission
— that The Ikoku Group ensure following any and all of the above principles further remains in accordance with the founding mission and purposes of The Ikoku Group, without incompatibility, as described and delineated in the Codes and Policies and the Founder’s Agreement.

Provision
As stated earlier, The Ikoku Group User Agreement and Code of Conduct consist of several Codes and Policies that collectively govern all of your activity with, within, for, in reference to and otherwise pertaining to The Ikoku Group, including the divisions, series, subsidiaries, and affiliates. By continuing, you indicate that you understand that the Codes and Policies include — but are not limited to — the Founding and Mission Statement, the Founding and Governing Code of Ethics, the Policy on Privacy and Confidentiality, the Terms and Conditions of Use and Service, and the Acceptable Uses Policy along with all Associated Codes and Policies. The Ikoku Group takes your continued access, activity, communication, engagement, operation, participation, and other use or visiting of the Products and Services, as active indication of your knowledge, understanding, and legally binding acceptance of and agreement to this Policy as well as the Codes and Policies.
Your Duty to Organizational Integrity
To protect the organizational integrity of The Ikoku Group — as well as the properties, rights, and protections of the company and its official persons — The Ikoku Group requires all natural and legal persons concerned to read, understand, abide by and, where applicable, sign contracts and agreements delineated and described in the Policy on Organizational Integrity.
The Ikoku Group reminds you that the Policy on Organizational Integrity forms part of The Ikoku Group User Agreement and Code of Conduct. Thus, The Ikoku Group takes your continued access, activity, communication, engagement, operation, participation, and other use or visiting of the Products and Services, as active indication of your legally binding acceptance of this Policy as well as the Codes and Policies.
